GEN SMART Art and Craft series – a curated collection of graded art and craft books for students of Nursery to Class 8, aligned with National Curriculum Framework – aims to awaken and strengthen the hidden artist in every child.
In this series, students will learn:
• Techniques to comprehend art logically and easily
• To draw and colour from simple to complex objects (including composition, other drawing elements, human beings and nature) using instructions in a few simple steps 
• To apply various art media, animation, computer graphics and more
• To use essential printmaking techniques
• To express their artistic voice using commonly available and affordable materials; and be familiar with innovative, creative and exotic craft techniques with easy-to-understand instructions.
• A brief introduction to Western and popular Indian traditional and folk arts; and short biographies of selected Western and Indian maestros have been included to broaden students' artistic horizon.
• The art lessons include grading of students' work by the teacher/supervisor and a dedicated page with instructions on creating a rubric grading.
