The CBSE Board exams for the academic year 2023-24 are approaching and the air is thick with anticipation (and maybe a little bit of anxiety!). Whether you are a nervous class 10th student gearing for your first major academic exam or a seasoned class 12th veteran preparing for your final school exam, this is your guide to shine bright in your exams.

Mark your calendars
Exams for both classes will begin on 15th Feb 2024 and end by 2nd April 2024. Prepare yourself for about 2 months of intense focus and determination!

Exam Pattern
CBSE has introduced a new exam pattern for both class 10 & 12. For class 10, 50% of the questions will be competency-based questions, 20% of the questions will be MCQs and 30% of the questions will be short/long answers. For class 12, 40% of the questions will be competency-based questions, 20% will be MCQs and 40% of the questions will be short/long answer questions.

Syllabus
The CBSE has rationalized the syllabus for both classes. This might seem like a relief but don't underestimate the importance of thorough preparation within the revised scope.

Preparation
Here are some essential tips to guide your CBSE exam preparation:

  • Know your syllabus: Familiarize yourself with the revised syllabus inside out. Understand the weightage assigned to different chapters and prioritize accordingly.
  • Seek guidance: Don't hesitate to seek help from teachers, mentors, or online resources. Clarify doubts promptly and build a strong understanding of key concepts.
  • Practice Makes Perfect: Solve previous years' question papers, sample papers, and mock tests to get accustomed to the exam format and question types. Practice time management skills to ensure you complete the paper within the allotted time.
  • Stay organized: Create a study schedule that balances different subjects and allocates adequate time for revision. Avoid last-minute cramming and prioritize quality over quantity.
  • Take care of yourself: Prioritize healthy sleep, nutritious meals, and regular exercise to keep your mind and body in top shape. Don't underestimate the power of stress management techniques like meditation or deep breathing.

Remember, CBSE Board Exams are a crucial milestone, but they are not the be-all and end-all of your academic journey. Approach them with a positive attitude, focus on understanding rather than rote learning, and trust your preparation. Believe in yourself, and you'll clear your CBSE board exams 2024 with flying colours!
